Senegal reopens a domestic train

For AFP, September 2023, Senegal – Senegal reopened a domestic train line carrying pilgrims on their way to the Grand Magal, the main Mourid religious gathering that will take place on Monday 4, in Touba (center) after several years’ shutdown. Three trains, each capable of carrying 240 passengers, are being deployed on a 130-kilometre line between Thies and the holy town of Touba, on December 12, 2023.
