In Senegal, the monks give thanks to God with the sound of the kora.
For AFP, May 2022, Senegal – At the Abbey of Keur Moussa, near Dakar, the kora has replaced the organ and accompanies all the religious services of the Benedictine monks who live there. The brothers themselves make this instrument, which is a favorite of West African griots. So much so that the kora of Keur Moussa has made a name for itself, beyond the Christian world.
